Have you tried writing a gratitude list? I can think of a few for you right now:
1) Your legs work (because you can stomp them)
2) You can read and write
3) You have the capacity to change your life because of the latter.
And yeh, I pray, go to meetings, work the steps and sometimes read the acceptance part in the BB Page 417 10 times a day depending upon how I am feeling. Just try and be patient with the process. For me, drinking isn't the only thing I needed to change.
