Meds + alcohol
 

Wondering if anyone here has any experience with meds and alcohol about 4 yrs ago I took realy sick my immune system started to go wonky it inflamed my kidneys and caused them to lose about 50% of there function.I was put on prednisone (a steroid) which unfortunately causes mood swings combine this with alcohol and you have a terrible combination.Had been to my doctor several times and my blood pressure was through the roof.I never told her I was drinking so she assumed prednisone was causing it.Its a nasty predicament you get mood swings you end up drinking because you are moody and your blood pressure goes up.Anyway my doc put me on Pristiqe a drug to help moods I have never felt better 3 days not drinking and my blood pressure had fallen to normal I am amazed.I am only on day 5 and still very wary but realy hope I can continue not drinking I :thanksrealy have no choice thank you all so very much for the support you give on this site it has realy been a Godsend

My meds work a lot better now I'm not drinking, that's for sure Joleah :)
