getting ready to detox from oxycodone

been on it for lower back pain , and going to see a pain management dr, only I don't know what they do exactly, I will need pain meds for short time to come, then detox , due to summer sporting events , coaching and raising my boys. do these doctors prescribe and try to help with pain and ongoing issues, I don't want them to force me to detox until I am ready to do so. if it was not for coaching soccer this summer and my boys , I would deal with the whole detox and cleansing of this medication? anyone know?

Hi Ultramarine

I've never taken oxys so I have no idea what your Dr might say. I do have a pain management Dr tho - they're very approachable in my experience (in Australia) and the whole thing is very consultative - it's me with the pain after all.

try not to worry too much is my advice

Being a Queenslander, I'll forgive you for that
Best of luck at the docs
