Another Incentive..>COST

A couple of us just went over this in another thread, and I thought it was worthy of it's own thread here too. As an added incentive, I tallied up the monthly cost of my alcohol habit to see how much I would save and this is what I got:

I spent about $125.00 per week stopping at a restaurant for wine (Mon-Friday: two glasses plus tip=$15.00), and Sat & Sun: 3 glasses plus tip $25.00 each day.

Then at Liquor store...2 big bottles of wine for the week=$20.00 and I had gotten up to about 6 pints of brandy per week=$36

That is a weekly total of $181.00

For a GRAND TOTAL for the month of $724.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still stunned! $724...my personal price tag for almost ruining my family and health.

The silver lining is to know how much money we can now put towards other things...like nicer family vacations...and the big daddy of them all...finally buying a house!:c029:

I spent about £15 a day on alcohol. I don't have a calculator handy and I am not sure I want to know... I haven't saved it since quitting but maybe I should have and I could have saved up to fix my house :(
