So this is my first time to post on this site and I'm excited to be a part soberrecovery.com! I've stumbled upon this site many times and am floored by all the caring, supportive folks on this site. I have been addicted to painkillers off and on for 4 years. This past year I have been using almost every day. I'm not sure where to actually post my story. Maybe here?? I don't know. Haha

Hey yourself! Welcome to SR! It is so supportive and understanding here. This was the perfect place to start. I read a lot here and and also find posting in the "class" of the month thread I quit extremely useful. There are many ways to overcome addiction. Read around and figure out what works best for you! And ask questions if you have any.

I drank all my life - it was killing me and stealing my spirit. When I came to SR I couldn't believe all the support and encouragement I found. Not being alone was key. I hope you'll feel the same. Keep posting and reading other's stories - you can have a whole new beginning. :)
