a drawer full of AA tokens
bounced in and out of the AA Program for many years
received many of the same tokens over and over
30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 6 month, 9 month even a few 1 and 2 year tokens
my junk drawer in the kitchen
more than once was covered on the bottom with tokens
today my tokens are very special to me
as I receive ones that I have never gotten before
for this is the longest I have ever been sober
thank you God
why did I get so many chances to sober up yet again ??
I have had several friends in AA
who have slipped and gone back out
only to die with a drink in their hands
I take this very seriously today
alcoholism can be a fast killer

found out that if I keep doing what I'm supposed to do
it happens
after so many attempts I have 6 years sober
took me 40 years off and on to get 6
don't recommend that for anybody
best we all stay sober today
