The strangest thing happened...

...after I stopped drinking beer. I started to crave bread. Is this common? I've heard people crave chocolate and sweets after becoming sober, but this is new to me.

I find myself grabbing two baguettes every time I go grocery shopping. I guess I should be happy that it's only bread I'm addicted to.

Absolutely normal. Your body is craving the missing junk carbs from beer. Enjoy it, no harm with a benign placebo. If you want to be really healthy try some whole grain stuff or brown rice. The body digests that stuff more slowly so you feel fuller longer. I'm personally a whole wheat pasta guy, works great. I was mostly drinking beer too and found that even with eating more carbs from food I've actually lost weight over the last 3 weeks.. God, those Bud Ices had some really nasty calories.
