I took the day off Friday to take my son to visit the High School he will be attending next year. I know most moms don't take their 15 year olds to visit the teacher, but my son has autism and is in a self contained classroom. He cracks me up because there was a peer helper (read: regular education student) in there and while I was talking to the teacher he was already mackin' on her trying to get her phone number LOL He only has the language development of an 6 y/o old, but the mind of a 15 y/o boy. He uses the skills he does have to his advantage haha! What a playa...I have no idea where he gets that!
My boys are with their dad this weekend. That's how the schedule falls and as my mom always says "every day is mother's day". Doing exactly as I please all weekend long is just fine by me.

Day 12 today, good day yesterday, addressing long neglected garden.
Plan to clean off and get my bicycle road worthy today.
Sleep better, but still waking up really groggy, hope that improves with time.

Good morning everyone. Another sober weekend for me . I started pairing rocks for my garden...which we are cleaning up right now. Kinda silly but colourful. I had so much doing it.
Going to clean today and get myself ready for the work week.

I did house-cleaning yesterday--the biggest chore was cleaning behind the desk where I sit now--there's about five million wires back there, so it's a major job to clean. But I got rid of all the unused wall warts and the power strip / surge protector is off the floor...
Yesterday may be the last sunny day for a little while here, it rained overnight and it's gray this morning (but not cold at all).

First weekend sober...My kids called to wish me a Happy Mothers Day..what a great start of the morning.
I'm staying with a friend so I am in a safe environment.
Plan I doing some cleaning around the place to help her out..but really just focusing on resting!

Stressed Stressed... Feel like I'm in a procrastinatory purgatory. GF went to say hi to her mom for mother's day, still have bud ice in Garage. Feel like I'm on the edge of a panic attack. Accidentally bounced rent check to land lord. Arggh! Will make it through and persevere. So wanting to tune out, but not going to do it. Need to rebuild and be proactive and that will not happen if I Drink!! I need to cut through my old BS and reprogram health constructive habits...

Soberlicious is my new favorite word... I keep Hearing Fergie's Fergalicious Song every time I see Soberlicious post. Weird A needs to do a song called Soberlicious about all the positives of not drinking...

So far so good. Made the Mother's Day visiting rounds and all went well. Spent time with my son and didn't feel sad/angry this year about the fact that his father and I are divorced. In fact felt really really glad where I am in my life dispite the struggles of being a single parent. Ordered take out and relaxing.

It's Sunday night. Time to go to bed. For me, Monday morning hangovers used to be the worst. I think, on Sunday night, I was trying to drink away Monday but of course it never worked. I'm very thankful that I'm going to bed, and will once again, wake up sober. Thank you everyone for posting in this thread. Reading your posts gave me strength this weekend. It really helped a lot.

I never knew that I would battle with my own mind and win over it (well, at least for now...).
