sobriety + positive vibes = motivation

i had this project of getting my old shed torn down and i asked a few friends if they could help. well i started to clean the inside out, low and behold i tore the whole thing down myself. this is something i would have never done if i was drinking and smoking pot, feeling sorry for myself, depressed, etc etc etc. today is a GREAT day to be alive and clean.

Legend! It makes me so happy to read this. It's amazing how we think drinking is helping us cope, making life more tolerable, etc. It holds us back and keeps us down. I'm glad we finally know that.

Delighted for you legend40. I do feel that since I decided to give up booze I've a lot more energy and I'm actually doing positive constructive things with my spare time. Must feel great to have that shed gone?

it does feel good when you can wake up in the morning and have a good outlook on the day . my previous days were filled with sadness, sleep and eating...not much of a life there

No matter what else is happening in life around us, it feels good to face it sober.....and we end up being more productive!
