2 month sobriety mark and there is MAGIC! Two months ago, I had the worst experience of my adult life. I was humiliated and demoralized, lost my job, and it was all because of Alcohol. There is no doubt about it, I am an Alcoholic. I picked myself up off the ground, and set about to make something look right in my life. I didnt know what to do, or even how to do it? Somehow, I was given strength to keep pushing on, even though burying myself seemed like the only solution. I had really lost myself in all of that mess. In fact, I really did not know who I was after that experience. I did the next best thing. Anything that came my way, I responded to it with an uncertainty and a small amount of hope. I enrolled into College, I started my own little business, I got a job, and then proceeded to get another better fitting job. I prayed, and prayed. I cried. I knew after that experience that I would never return to the bottle. I had worn out my welcome. These past 2 months have given me the chance to see what I am truly made of. I never knew what I was capable of doing. I have taken my life into a place that is positive and worth living. I have had an amazing support system. My family, SR, and friends have encouraged me to reach for the stars, and so I did. I will continue to reach for the stars one day at a time. There is no reason to go back. I am worthy of so much more. Thank you SR. Thank you God. Thank you Family. Thank you Mizzuno. |
