I just counted how many days sober I have. I said out loud, "Today is 114 days sober for me!"
My BF's 11-year old daughter BEAMED at me, squealed, and ran up to me and gave me a BIG hug. First hug she's given me!
. (She loves me but had never hugged me until now!)

That's really heart-warming. 
It's so cool that she'll have you as a role model. My dad got sober, but it was when I was too small to remember... sometimes I wonder if I would have skipped some of this heartache if I'd seen his own reckoning. But even if she never has any substance problems, she'll have learned a lot about hard work and positive transformatioN!
