Congrats Conscience, and welcome to SR. You made a great step - how can we help you find a plan to keep with it? Have you any plans to attend any local support groups other than SR?

Congratulations, and welcome.
Many of us are recovering, so you've found a great place.
Please feel free to post as often as you like.
Nice to have you here!

nothing to be afraid of. for me it ws all fear of the unknown. i only knew what life with alcohol/drugs was like. i had no clue how it would be without em, but it couldnt be worse that what i had. sure enough, its better than i could have ever dreamed.

It's normal to be scared. I was, and still am, terrified. I'm slowly learning be be brave as I face myself. One step at a time.

First time here. Tried to quit a few times now. I keep going days at a time dry then I pick up a bottle. But this up and down is madness. It has to end. Tired of the shakes and sweats.
