Mom of an 18 yr old just put in residential rehab
 

Hi- sure could use any advice you guys have. Every person who was an addict in my life--I was in a place I could walk away if they din't get sober. This is my only child. My 18 yr old daughter(18 in December 2012)- She's 1,100 miles away.Signed herself in- no warning. It's Day 2-3rd night if you count the arrival evening)--I've still numb so's her long-time boyfriend. I can't walk away. I know I have to give her back to herself to have her dignity to get thru this herself. But MOM here needs a of of help. I'm familiar with Al-anon and the NA version. My daughter likes a med called klonipin(for anxiety-her reason for psych treatment)---Also She's gotten into Alcohol...so...help....Anything you got..I'm open to it....She knows I'm supportive to her being in the rehab.So I thought that the most important(I don't tel her about my crying):c021: :a108:

I'm glad that your daughter has found a rehab for herself. That's good news.

Hopefully AlAnon will give you support for yourself.
