sober morning

6th day! last night was the first time in a long long time that i didn't go out on a thursday night. My fridays would consist of me staying in bed till almost noon and struggling to get through the day, and trying to piece together the night before. but NOT today. I woke up at 7:30 had a Bio exam, made fruit salad for my softball team, and im gonna clean my apartment. Sober morning are much better than hungover mornings. Happy Friday friends!!

Also, this morning i saw two of my friends who i normally go out with trying to piece together their night. Each of them couldn't remember anything at the bar or who drove. On the inside I was smiling a little bit because for once that wasn't me

I have insomnia but still enjoy a sober morning. Mine starts early; up by 2, walk the dog by 4:30, go to work by 5. I like it because I have the whole world to myself. I used to hate hearing the birds chirp & watched others go to work (while drinking) & wondering how in the world did they do that? Things are different now. I enjoy the peace & quiet, can talk to God (& no one sees me); AA IS a whole new way of life. And for that, I am grateful.
