Anyone see the New Movie Home Run? Its about Recovery!
We're going to go see it today. I hate that its in limited release. Sounds like a movie everyone can get something out of, Not just recovering alcoholics!
Home Run - In Theaters Now
Just wondering if anyone else has seen it? And What you thought?
Alot of people from our Celebrate Recovery group saw it last week, and said it was VERY moving & bring lots of tissues. I'm always interested in Success stories when it comes to addiction.

Oooooh I do love it when someone finds a film about recovery. They're a bit thin on the ground. I imagine I will be able to find it online somewhere. 28 Days with Sandra Bullock is a good recovery film.
Thanks

Ok, I just have to say this movie was wonderful.
I love that there was no sugar coating or "Hollywooding up" the reality of alcoholism. What it means to be truly broken & controlled by this addiction. And the Real possibility of changing your life around & living a Sober Spirit filled life. Would highly recommend this movie.
And was pretty cool how much Celebrate Recovery was a part of this movie too!

I saw this movie after I joined Celebrate Recovery ... All I kept thinking while watching it was, "wow ... that's me... and that's who I will become; sober and remain sober for the longest time in 5 years!!!!" Day 43 goin strong.
