finally joining something!
finally joining something!
I'm on day 42, which I can hardly believe. I found this site and have been looking around and reading for a few days. I live in a rural area without meetings that I could find. So from what I can tell so far this will be my support group. I don't know how to do this, how to begin. Can someone guide me please? Thanks so much!
hi and welcome
yes it's pretty cool these days
for I myself live up in the mountains a ways from meetings
but
here on our computers we have available much regarding recovery
not sure what kind of help you need here
just take your time and wander around for a while
feel free to post any direct questions to administrator

Joy girl Welcome to SR Post whenever you feel the need. Look for threads that you can join in, like the Class March 2013 this would be your class with all members with sobriety dates in March which you would be. The 24 Hour club, members in for 24 hours sober. " Ring " " Ring " Weekenders, members signing up for a Sober Weekend. Its all up to you. I post when needed and then read. Seeing a thread where someone is in a similar situation helps me. Then reply if you want or just thank that member by touching or clicking on the thumbs up figure ,depending on what your using , phone, I Pad, or computer. Finally there is a forum for help, go there to ask questions. God Bless
Hi Joygirl! Welcome and and congrats on 42 days! Glad you are here.
I'm in the early stages of sobriety as well and have found SR to be a fantastic support system. I personally don't belong to AA or any groups etc. and have been doing my sobriety on my own. There are so many others here who are going through a similar journey and it's a great place to share stories, ideas and feedback and know that you're not alone in recovery.

Thank you, rainyengland and onehigherpower! I recognize both of you by names.
The help I need is staying clean, being positive about this.
The physical wd was easy compared to the mental/emotional wd. Still feeling it even after 42 days.
