I know I should b proud of myself, but its Friday night and I'd love to drink.i got some DVDs to keep me occupied and a cabinet I had to put together, but I got so grumpy putting it together that I gave up and want to drink even more.okay I'm lying I don't want a drink I want lots and lots. So irritable and restless.also started thinking about the last person I upset with my drunken bull.i feel so bad about it and I don't have the opportunity to apologize.thats really bothering me.any way whinge whinge.
Well, congrats on the sober time. I know it ain't easy. I still miss drinking too, but know if I do, I put all the many things I've accomplished in jeopardy...ain't worth it. Hang in there and keep us posted.
Remember, you only have to stay sober today. Tommorrow's not here yet. If you need to, concentrate on just getting through 1 hour at a time.
In the beginning there were a few days when I had to take it hour by hour. Now I it take it month by month, that's a lot easier. It can be done.

Its surreal to me that I need to get through it our by hour day by day.accepting that I really am in that deep is so strange.but I am and have been for years if I'm honest. I'm kinda of enjoying finding ways to keep occupied.but not that mood swings and cravings.
Friday nights seem to bring our AVs (Alcoholic/Addict Voice) out from under their rocks. I still think I need a reward for getting through the week, but I have different ideas about what that reward should be. I know it's hard to believe now, but in time drinking alcohol won't be your first thought on a Friday night.
Whinge away! It's great that you feel you can share here rather than reaching for the bottle.
PS Try taking a few calm deep breaths when the cravings hit. It works like a charm for me.
