Hi, I'm new here. Been sober a little over two months now. Not really sure where to go with this. I guess im just looking for people who know what this is like.

My life has already started to get better. Still dealing with choices I made as a drunk but the path is a lot more clear.

Also, I would like to say thanks to all of you for your posts. I'm sure this sounds stupid but there are people around me who I really believe want me to fail at this. I'ts good to know I can come here and see others who are going through the same crap. Sober is hard, but far better then the alternitive.

Welcome to SR Adam

I'm not sure anyone wanted me to fail...but they didn't want things, or me, to change.

I'm eternally grateful I did tho

You are right...sober can be hard. But for me the consequences I had as a result of my drinking were much worse. Congratulations on your two months; tons of support here!

Ya I know that feeling. Sometimes the people around us are afraid of change, they get used to us the way we are no matter how self destructive it is. Its not that they are bad people, just used to seeing a certain aspect of you. Anyway, thanks for the post.
