Hi all,

I've recently started dating someone who is a recovering addict, he had his last relapse on New Year's. I really care for him & just need some helpful hints on what to do and not to do. He's 10yrs younger than me so I do have some more life experience & the fact that I'm bipolar also gives me some insight into mental disorders. Because of these things I'm very sensitive & understanding to what he's going through. He's very dedicated to his sobriety, going to meetings every day & working closely with his sponsor and counselor. I do realise that his recovery must always come first, even above me & our relationship. Having said all this he's extremely sensitive to absolutely any dispute/disagreement we have & I struggle to handle it because I'm so scared that it will push him over the edge.

I'd just like some input on anyone going through anything similar.

I'd greatly appreciate it
:)

I found it pretty hard being around other people when I first got sober. I was very angry and impatient. It passed with time though. Hopefully his will too x
