Just a question for identifying pills
Hi everyone. I was supposed to start my sobriety today but things stretched out and now hangover. This has got to end.
I met a folk of fellow active alcoholics who invited me to drink, I was supposed to stop at a few beers but free booze won. I recall somebody tossing in my hand two brown pills, with hard edges, circular and dark brown. The guy said something like they make you feel good. Well, I just found them in my pocket and they do not look like any ordinary diazepam. They are blue, I know since I've used them a lot, from friends and local dealer (10mg valium).
Does anyone have any idea what kind of pills I would be dealing with? If they helped with hangover, great. If they were some kind of medicine unfit for my body, well, you know the dangers.
Thanks in advance, regardless of your answers.

I agree with ((Least)) - they weren't prescribed for you, and you have NO idea what they are, much less what the side effects or contraindications are for them.
My best advice (as a former nurse AND recovering addict) is toss them. I know everything there is to know about meds, but I will NOT take anything that hasn't been prescribed to me by my dr. It's all about accountability and responsibility to myself.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Thank you all. It is actually hard to toss them, but I damned will. The pills are not worth the risk anyway.
By the way, it's full moon here tonight. The sky looks pretty in the darkness. Some people fear the dark. I find shelter in it.

Throw um out. We are here to help you stay away from pills and alcohol, not doctors here. It would be insane to take anything that you have no idea what it is. Personally asking that question I believe is going to be a trigger for some in here.

Go you!!! Day 1's are always full of "can I DO this" and "YAY, I AM doing this!"
From my experience? Go with the "YAY" feeling. My day one has turned into over 6 years (in large part to all the great folks at SR) and I've never regretted it
VERY proud of you for getting rid of the pills!
Hugs and prayers,
Amy
