Hi. I'm new here.

I found this site sort of by mistake, but it looks like a good place to learn about alcoholism in the family.

I have been sober for a long time, but I am the only one in my family who is sober. It makes things difficult.

But this place looks pretty

to me.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Looking forward to meeting other people here and learning and sharing.

Welcome Misty! Friends and Family forum is good to, where familes of Alcoholics/addicts support eachother. Congratulations on being sober. Was it a problem for you?

As for getting and staying sober. Was it difficult? Actually, it was a lot easier than drinking and feeling guilty and all the problems that went with that.

Have a look around--there's all kinds of cool stuff on this forum. For example, the Alcoholism-12 Step Support - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information section has a lot of "thought-for-the-day" posts. There's several open discussion threads; I just realized today that the "weekend" thread somebody always starts is open to all!
