What's it all about?
Hi Forum, Long time no type. I haven't been evicted. Hurray! My sobriety meant I faced the problem head on, talked to my landlord and now have a manageable payment plan. That was scary but not as scary as continuing the way I was.
So what's it all about? Being the best version of me I can be I suppose. Having my behaviour match my integrity. Being fearless in facing a life without alcohol playing such a prominent role.
I read a lovely quote from Robert Downey Junior today which I'd like to share...he said...'If you've ever lost the ability to make that decision (saying no to whatever you're addicted to) you realise that when you get that ability back it's the most precious and glorious thing you can possess'.
I'm getting my ability back and he's right it feels great. Another weekend of kind invitations turned down so I can have a wonderfully productive Sunday tomorrow. I'm still loving sober weekends. I wish everyone on their own journey the best x
Did I say...I haven't been evicted. Oh yes I did but I just wanted to say it again. Thank you as ever for being here SR xxx

Caravagio, thank you for your post. I am happy that you are reaping the benefits of sobriety and I can definitely relate to Robert’s quote; it is truly amazing the sense of liberation that comes from regaining the ability to make rational choices and decisions!
