Checking in with 30 days clean
Hi,
I am posting on both the substance abuse and Newcomer 's forums to let those who are just starting this recovery journey that I am at 30 days clean and sober from prescribed opioids, alcohol, misuse of benzos, etc., etc., and that it is so worth it!!
I have no cravings at all, this time around, which is so much better than when I got clean and sober in 1999 from alcohol and cocaine.
My feelings are reasonable in that they make sense... I am not artificially "happy" or "high" or totally number out.
I am feeling sad around the victimization of the attendees and runners at the marathon yesterday. However, I am praying for them all, and their families, and am placing my faith in my Higher Power.
I am feeling grateful for 30 days clean and continue to do this, one day at a time.
