100 Days Today! Yee-haw! That hasn't happened in YEARS. Life is so much better, and so much EASIER. Last night I stayed at my SO's house and was awakened at 6 a.m. by a phone call from my 18 year old son ... he was feeling awful and his girlfriend had taken him to the ER. It was such a blessing to be able to hop out of bed, grab a quick cup of coffee, and drive to the hospital without being hung over (or still drunk from the night before). The staff at the ER remembered me from all of my trips over there to detox, and all of them congratulated me on having 100 days sober. It was a very cool experience! Hope all of you enjoy a sober and happy weekend! :) |
Geez - rough start to your morning. At least you recognize the silver lining here - you had a challenging situation that was made easier by being SOBER. Even the bad days aren't really that bad when we're sober, are they? Congrats on this milestone! |
