Maybe this is going to have to be it

I knew it would come to this. I just looked and I have 30mg of valium left until Tuesday I take way more than that a day and clearly even more lately because I never run out this quickly.

I don't know what to do. 10mg a day for the next 3 days???

Maybe this is the time I have to detox. Maybe I have no choice.. I know if I went back today they would not give me more.

Freaking out

They won't give you more but you may get advice on what to do.

That sounds really dangerous. If you've been taking more than normal lately jumping down that far might be too intense on your body.

I know from your other threads that you don't think you can go to rehab right now, but what about just the ER?

I wont hold my breath getting reliable benzo advice out here. I will see what happens. I took 100mg a couple of days ago and over 50 on others, stupid, I knew it had to come to this, it's not a never ending box of tim tams.

remember this number too - they may refer you to other numbers.

13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) is a 24/7 phone service for all Queenslanders seeking advice about their health or information about health services. For the cost of a local call, registered nurses provide health information and referral services.

I really didn't have a choice about when I quit. I went to the ER, then was admitted to a detox program.

Maybe this is out of your hands, and you need to go to rehab or detox now!

Hey MLC- just woken up in a grey and rainy England here, and do you know what? I dreamt about you! Imagine that, someone on the other side of the world who cares enough about you that you pop up in her dream, and believe me if you knew how little I sleep!!....I imagined you in the middle of the bush with all your beautiful children. I logged on and here you are....

Yes, maybe this is going to have to be it...maybe it's time for you to say 'do you know what? I'm scared as hell, but nows the time for me to do this thing'. Make that commitment and promise to yourself.

Use the number Dee gave you, take the support you can even if its limited, and take the first step.

There's no-one here can take it for you, but we're right with you in spirit. Even all the way over here in England xxx

Please get help from one of the sources mentioned above, MLC. It does look like you've come to the end of the line. Time to get off the train.

Even if your doc won't give you decent benzo advice, he may be able to get you into an emergency detox somewhere or arrange transport to ER once you explain to him that you're in danger because you don't have enough pills to taper safely.

About going into rehab--despite the horrible experience you had with daycare as a child, you can trust God now with your children. Ask him to protect them for this time if you need to leave them with professionals. I don't know about Australia, but in the US things have gotten a lot more strict in recent years to to all the publicity about p*********.

I think if you remove Maybe from your sentences above you will have a clearer picture of the situation MLC, and I think you have known that for quite some time now. I truly hope and pray you make the decision to get the help you and your family so desperately need. Best wishes and please stay with us.

I personally wouldn't want to detox from benzo's without help from a Dr. They can be really dangerous.

I remember standing outside the nurse's station in the recovery home in 1989.

I told her I can get sober but I'm sure I'm going to need my Valium that I had taken for 15 yrs. No way was the reply.

All the best.
