Hallo I am new and I am the wife of a Meth addict.

Hi everybody

I am a newbie, I am the wife of a 'recovering' meth addict and I have been reading on the forum and came across allot of helpful info and advice. I feel so stuck in our situation he says he quitt but then starts using again. I am so confused believe it or not I cannot tell when he is high or not. I have distanced myself from him I try not to engage in conversation cause they end up in an argument anyways so I just treat him very proffesionally and to the point. I actually hate it so much, I hate that our marriage of 7 years is falling apart that my kids have to suffer. I hate feeling so hopeless, I hate the constant lies. I am sorry Im having a big pity party and this is my 1st post! I am hoping that things will improve but I am not so sure about that, he is not doing any step work, not going to church and he is not even going to work anymore. Things seem pretty dark at the moment.

Thank you for reading.

Don't worry about "throwing a pity party", this is a safe place to talk about this kind of thing. Welcome and keep coming back, we're all going through our own versions of destruction caused by addiction. Talking about it helps!

Thank you Fantail and Wiscsober, I will definately go and 'chat' on that forum. I just felt that our closest family don't really understand and that I needed to speak to someone who understands addiction and everything else that goes allong with it.

Blessings to you and your families.

to the family! Take a look at that link for families and friends of substance abusers. Might find some insight there from people who have been in your situation. I hope you find some peace of mind soon.
