Woohoo! 1 month and counting...
Well, I have managed 1 month of sobriety* and I have to say, it feels damn good. The dark clouds seem to be lifting, my mind is clearer, my body feels healthy, and I wake up in the mornings without shame, guilt, or pain. This sober thing ain't too bad and really, with each passing day, I think less and less about alcohol. I'm going to keep plugging away...and thanks for all the help and support!

Wow! Congratulations!
As somebody on Day 7, I can only imagine what day 30 must be like. Thanks for posting, I know this is hard for all of us, but so important to recognize the huge achievements.

Thanks for all of the support! I am finding that a "one day at at time" mentality seems to help with those pesky (and terrifying) thoughts of never drinking again. After enough days go by, the hope is that the thought of never drinking will not cause fear but rather, relief. Anyone experience this change over time?
