It's easier for me to not drink at all than to try to moderate my drinking. So I just stay sober and happy.

Sobreia - I'm right with you, my story is almost exactly as yours except I'm a bit older than you. I too am new here joining just yesterday. I am the classic binger, drinking myself silly and blacking out on weekends then sober all week while at work. My health and my family suffer because of my drinking. 2 years ago I had a health scare and actually quit for 18 months but it was extremely hard without support and I eventually started again. I think what needs to happen is to change people and routines and welcome support.
