I'am NOT giving up...
DuhDave....sounds like you want to want it. You can use that as a jumping off point. Put it down for awhile and see if you really do want it.
You said you've been an alcoholic for 15 years and haven't hit rock bottom. No jail, DUI, job loss or divorce.
At 15 years of being an alcoholic, I had not done any of those things either. At 17 years, I have now been to jail twice, gotten a DUI, had my kids taken away from me and nearly lost my husband. Like Bob said, you're at a fork in the road. Keep drinking for another couple of years and you might start hitting some of those bottoms.

You guys have some great meetings in FL. Take advantage of them.
Find a good oldtimer at the meeting that you can identify with and ask him if he'll help you save your life. He will.
All the best.

I spent years worrying about the label, but all the while I kept endlessly feeding the ravenous beast within.
Either your drinking is a problem or it's not, Dave.
If it is, you owe it to yourself to do something about it.
