I have been poking around the site eagerly soakingin information about dealing with a loved one with an alcohol problem.

I found it comforting that others have faced the same issue as I am facing now, and have faced in prior relationships ( that I did not understand).

Currently I am working through a lot of negative emotion in my dealing with this issue. I downloaded the detachment posting and have started to engrain it into me. It initially gave me clarity and some peace, however I fell back into being angry, hurt and confrontational.

I look forward to gaining the knowledge to make me a better person and less conflicted person.

It's difficult and stressful dealing with an active alcoholic. Have you ever gotten support from AlAnon meetings? Look them up in your area. Might be a big help to you.
