Hi!

I've been battling alcohol addiction for years. Trying to get my crap together, it just baffles me how I keep repeating this cycle. Happy to have found this site.

Happy to have you! What other resources do you use, like AA? Hope you have a good support group like family or friends who know you're trying to get sober.

Again, glad you found SR, it's a great community.

Thank You! I do have an excellent support system with AA, Church, and Family. It baffles me that I can't seem to put together some sobriety. So I lie about drinking because I don't want to worry anybody...then I get so sick from withdraws. I just have to take it one day at a time. I know it can be done.

There's a lot of us here staying sober.

Stick around and you'll learn how!

Do you have a plan to break the cycle?

Hi Truefan! I repeated the same cycle over & over too. Finding SR helped me to not feel alone anymore. I got the courage to finally stop with the advice and support I found here. I hope you'll feel the same. We're glad to have you as part of the family.

I've def done the cycle... Complete with family, friends, and church... And hangovers.

My new resolve is to just let go. Say bye... And move on.
