Feeling Bad Lightheaded Dizzy

I've overcome the initial sickness, but right now I'm heaving lightheadedness and fatigue. I went to the dr. yesterday (diabetes related) and my pulse rate was 140. They sent me to the er, where they promptly forgot about me right after they took an ekg.

I know we're not supposed to give medical advice, but does any of this sound familiar? Maybe I just don't remember this part of withdrawals from before.

Withdrawals can be unpredictable. Did you get any results from the ekg or did they do any other tests? I think it's good that your dr sent you to the ER. I hope you feel better.

I think anytime you feel bad or concerned it's best to get professional advice Captain.

Sometimes in the ER I find you need to, not make a nuisance of yourself, but push yourself forward a little, especially on a holiday weekend

If your pulse is racing again, or your blood pressure is jacked up, you might want to head to an urgent care clinic or the er.

In the first couple days I had noticed a fast pulse rate while sitting still or laying in bed the last time I went through w/d but I didn't take my pulse rate so I'm not sure how fast it was.

Hopefully the tests they ran at the ER will let you know if steps are needed. You can always make another appointment with your doctor for a follow up. It can't hurt to be over careful when it comes to your well being. W/ds are really stressful on the body and each time can be different or more severe.

My EKG was normal, thank goodness. The er, here in New Orleans, is a frightful place. I'm going to try and sleep. Thank you everyone, I appreciate the feedback.

I just read the quote "The beast in me..." But I misread it as "The best in me is caged by frail and fragile bars."

It's from an old Johnny Cash song.

Do seek medical help if this happens again. Be safe!
