I don't really pay a lot of attention to dates or focus on counting days but I'm coming right up on six months since I last drank. That's kind of extraordinary! Back then I was just coming to terms with the fact that drinking was going to kill me, and I was surprised to learn that I really didn't want to die that way. I also thought I might need to go to a doctor first and get Antabuse or something- I was drinking 3 bottles of wine per day, 365 day a year!

Kind of odd how little drama there is in my life! This must almost be what "normal life" is like!

So let me offer a big THANK YOU! to all you folks that have supported and encouraged me, and sometimes gave me a kick in the @ss!

Fantastic stuff Myth! You sum it up pretty well, a normal drama free life. I feel so free, calm and happy but with a healthy dose of normal life thrown in for good measure.

You rock. 6 months is fantastic. I've promised myself I'll stop 'counting' after 12 months

Congrats on making it to 6 months! You sound amazing. I too know what you mean by the drama free life. I will have 5 months soon & it's wonderful to sleep easy every night not worrying about what I did or said in a blackout. My anxiety has decreased so much too. So happy to be able to experience this journey with you
