Do you make blood test when you stop drinking?

I made mine 2 days after I decided to stop for good drinking and started to go to AA. My blood tests where surprisingly quite ok but bilirubin was as high as 2.4, did anyone of you make blood tests and had high bilirubin which went down with time?

thanks, today I am on my 10th sober day, feeling fine but concerned. If anyone gives me an answer I would be mostly grateful.

Congrats!
I had a blood test last week and the enzyme my DR was concerned about was over 3 times normal rate. It will stay stable, and possibly improve if you stop drinking, if not, it will worsen and you will require a transplant.

What did your doctor say about the test?

All the best.

Well, not drinking isn't going to damage your liver at all...so you have 10 good days of no damage going there! Regarding your other questions, only a doctor can answer medical questions, we cannot do so here in the forum. Get a second opinion if possible if you don't think your first doctor was thorough enough.
