Tip for the newly sober: Make it so you cant financially afford to drink Hey, This only works if you're not rich :P I normally spend £120-150 on alcohol a month. Thats most of my spare cash. So today I went out and spent £150 on a new pair of running shoes, some exercise clothes, A fitness book, Recipie book and I joined the gym. I also treated myself to a nice coffee :D. Now I cant drink this month, and by the end of the month, I probably wont want to! |
I've got one of those money tins that you have to cut open to be able to get at the money. So far, what I would have spent in the last two weeks has gone into the tin. I think that whatever way you can do it we should definitely use the money we would have spent on something else :) |
If you want to drink you will find a way. Sure, anything that highlights the problems that alcoholism causes is helpful. Sooner or later one realises that the only way to not drink is to not drink |
