all is fine until after dinner...then the sugar monster makes me eat like a two year old. I have gained 7 pounds. I teach fitness, this is not a good example. I have to cold turkey the sugar now...I guess I have to find a SugarRecovery site for my new addiction.
Grrrrr.

Oh yeah got a new member of the family a 2 year old rescue dog and our only child dogs not to thrilled.

Wonderful. I have six rescue dogs. I think mine would love another fur buddy.

PS. Post some pics here:

This is going to sound lame, but swap the candy for nature's candy - strawberries, mangoes, cherries, all that jazz? I don't eat sweets at all because I'm vegan, so the food I've been turning to in the evening is mountains of fruit. Mostly really sweet fruit full of natural sugar. Not just boring oranges and bananas - any weird exotic fruit I can think of. You can eat as much as you want - you won't gain 7 pounds on watermelon and pomegranites. More frequent bathroom breaks may be required however...!

Good luck with your dogs, things usually calm down eventually.

I was sugar crazy for the first month or two (being around the holidays did not help). Alcohol has so much sugar in it and your body gets used to it so it takes some time to adjust. I was so annoyed because if anything I would have thought that I would have lost weight! It does get better, I was beginning to wonder if I was also powerless over ice cream lol. I still have small amounts of chocolate but started eating fruit and your taste buds adjust really quickly. Plus its kinda fun to pick a new/exotic fruit and/or have a different type of fruit each day because when I was drinking I never ate fruit.

If you decide that you cannot control the amount u eat, or if when you earnestly try to stop entirely you find you can't, it could be an addiction. Have u heard the analogy of addiction being like having four garbage cans, three lids?

I've been in OA for two years and i would be lost without it. You're not alone!

Two DumDums lollipops are only 51 calories.

It will all even out!
