Looking to get clean

Hi all!

I am at the deepest most ugly hole I've ever been in my whole life. This past year I have lost my grandmother, went through an extremely painful divorce, and recently lost my job. It was a great job, a professional job that paid very well. To say the least I have lost everything.

I have turned to my addicition to ease the pain and my life is spiraling out of control. I sat down today with my parents begging for help.

I have no money, no insurance anymore. I have nothing.

I want my life back and want more than anything to beat this deadly addiction. the only thing holding me back are my funds.

I am willing to do whatever it takes to beat this god awful disease.

Anybody out there that knows what I can do, I am all ears.

Is these any type of assistance I can get to go into a rehab?

I know if I keep heading down this past I'm goin to lose everything dear to me. my friends, my family, and most importantly...my life.

Anyone with any advice please help! I want my life back!!! :'(

God Bless

B

P.S. I am living in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Welcome, BoJangles!

I found a no-cost detox program. Some of the other patients were going on to rehab, and that was at no cost also. One thing you could do is call a crisis line--those folks would know the resources in your area.

Have you tried searching on the internet?

Congratulations on your decision to start a sober life. This website is a good place for support, but we're scattered all over the world and don't always know what is available in a particular location.

I was just searching the web and it looks like your department of Human Services might be a place for you to start.

Substance Abuse Management, Department of Human Services, Allegheny County
