I wish I was in the right frame of mind last night to be there for you!!! I so know what anger can do (and does) major trigger for me!!! Seems like I get pissed alot these days--We WILL!!! I am sooooo glad you didnt give in! Your a strong AND CARING person!!! AAlways keep that in mind!!!! I am proud of you!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm.... One of those Kodak moments eh friend? This ol' addict is mighty proud right now Ted. You're in what Chy calls the three week rut. Well, I guess we're going to ride it out together then. That's cool, 'cause I got some time on my hands and if we're both there to kick our respective arses when we have to, we all come out ahead!

I feel your pain man, I too get angry pretty much on daily basis but work through it and avoid my usual method of coping - booze... This board has been a great support mechanism -- and you of course are part of it.. Your posts have helped stay sober, so I hope to some extend I can return the favour...

PS. I find myself saying the Serenity prayer over and over again when I get in those "moods"... Keep telling myself that things are always better than they initially appear...

Hey Ted,
Fantastic- you made it through without drinking!! You have been such a strong voice helping me these past 12 (yay!) days- I'm so glad you didn't give up on yourself!! I really need you!

The angry thing- I sure can relate- I hate that just cuz I'm not drinking, I'm not always the happy, practical and reasonable person I think I should be!! I think it just takes time- hopefully we will learn how to deal with our feelings in a healthy way- but for now, just remember how long we've been squashing them down with alcohol or whatever- it's a really big change.

Thanks for being here- you stay strong- as you always tell me!!

Ted, I am going through this stuff too. I have been sober for a few months now. But I am still irratable and angry. I have had an especially stressfull week and I exploded at co-workers and my wife...again! I felt better after sharing at an AA meeting yesterday about my problems. Right now, its important for us to not drink, and have faith that our recovery program will show us how to conquer our flaws and live a better life.

Ted, big hugs friend. You know what? This is a good sign believe it or not, you've just been handed a ticket to the rollercoaster of emotions. It's the first sign your truly sobering up as your begining to experiance true, undeniable feelings and emotions. The part that really sucks though is learning to deal with it all sober. Have faith in yourself, don't be hard on yourself, it's okay to feel this way. Bring it to life on paper, it will help.
