Struggling!!

I want to cave so bad. I'm sorry I am being so dramatic. But ugh!!! This is only the end of day 4. I have to be able to last longer than this

CNH, I'm with you man. My whole body is telling me to go to the store right now! I was ok for the past few hours, and it kicked in about 20 minutes ago. It keeps hitting me like waves. Hang in there, and I will too. No one says you can't drink tomorrow, just get through tonight. Worry about tomorrow then. Ugh, I feel the same way, this is brutal...

Day 4...you are 100 hours in...and that is a massive accomplishment. You have begun the path beyond the night sweats/chills..crazy dreams...and shakes. Keep strong.

I went to one on Wednesday. It was my first meeting. I think I am going to just go to bed. I just really almost walked out of the door.

that's what I used to do- go to bed and get some sleep- needed the restoration anyways.
Otherwise, ice cream.

Mirage is right. I just got the same advice. Tomorrow is another day. But today, tonight, you will not drink.

I was just going to suggest going to bed. That seems to always help me.

cravings can hit when you're tired. an early bed is a good idea. how about you hit a meeting tomorrow? i know i feel a lot better after my meetings. i'm doing my 90 in 90 right now. i think if i went a day without a meeting, i'd feel pretty cruddy.

The thing I learned is...cravings won't kill me...

They're uncomfortable, they're annoying and they really bite...but they do pass without us acting on them.

if nothing else, stick close to SR - you can do this.

You won't regret waking up sober tomorrow - but you would regret drinking.

OY. I didn't know what I was in for when I signed up for all of this. I was feeling so good. I went to yoga tonight, ate dinner, texted a few friends. Then BAM! As soon as I am not occupied the cravings start to filter in. I have never felt so torn. I mean, I am as indecisive as they come...thank you for helping me put out the fire, even though it is still kind of smoldering.

Mirage, hang in!! We can do this!

I feel like such a child. I'll deal with that tomorrow. And I will look up a meeting.

I will be on later if I can't sleep.

Thanks again SR.

I found reading has really distracted me when I get bad cravings. Especially books about sobriety. Congrats on 4 days!

The good thing to know is everyone has those feelings. Every 24 hours does count, and thankfully those that have shared in our experiences, began to live a sober life will be here to remind us that it gets better. We aren't in this alone!

Just a small victory. Right after I logged off a friend texted me to meet him at the bar. He REALLY tried. I waffled, and waffled, and waffled, but declined. I said I was going to go to bed.

I was in bed but was excited to share this news.

Thanks again SR. It is amazing, reading and posting really does have an effect on how you think.

Thinking of your situation, in going through the same ordeal right now...

I'm going to meditate now and go to bed. I can't see how else ill stay clean ..

I wish you the strength you need to get thorough the night
