Back on track after a hard-learned lesson.

Wow, it was a rough few days proving to myself that I could not stop at one drink. I'm back on track, and praying for all the strength God can grant me.

Welcome back Scotty - what's your plan?

Going to a counselor for one-on-one. I'm not one for group meetings as I tend to be the most introverted person in the room. The last few days were Hell. I don't want to go back.

One day at a time...keep it movin' and know that you are not alone. Just the thought of going back out and how awful it is makes me work hard every day to remain sober. So far, it's worked for 6 months and through some of the worst circumstances life can throw at a person.

You can do it!!!!!!!!! We only have today...

Many of us need to learn directly from our experiences rather then just "hearing" something. Now you know where you don't want to be. You also learned how progressive alcoholism is. I'm glad you're headed in the right direction :)

I relapsed several times recently after 9 sober weeks-I don't know why- but the hangovers are awful and I'm going to pull myself together and get back to enjoying my sober Life again. Nobody forced me to drink and I've found that I prefer my sober life to my drinking life
Good luck!
