Been sober since Dec. 5th. Was kinda forced to it. Got arrested for dui. and just got out of jail 3 weeks ago. haven't had anything since I got out, but the urge is still there. Just trying to keep busy with work, and taking it one day at a time.

Congratulations on your sober time! Are you getting any kind of support? I think it's hard for us to stay sober on our own. I found that the mental battle/cravings didn't stop right away just because I put the drink down, but it did go away slowly over time.

spider3604, keeping busy is a great idea - be aware not to get too tired or hungry though. That's prime slip up time mate. Glad you're here too!

Welcome to SR Spider Unfortunately there is always something that forces us to quit, but I am sure that in time you'll come to be really grateful that you did. I am sure you'll find lots of support here x

Sometimes i would be so busy at work i literally didn't have time to think about my pills.

Those were great days!!! It was so nice to realize after 9 or 10 hours that i really hadn't thought about it!!

Maybe think about some meetings, some kind of support.
