How to go to a meeting

Hello there! I know when I first was so scared to go to my first meeting alone so i had a friend who is a normie go with me and after that I felt I could go alone and now sometimes I go alone and other time with friends in recovery

Well. I walked past and admired the shiny blue doors. I am normally a very together sort of person but my nerve failed me in a way I had not anticipated. I will take all your advice and try and find someone to go through the door with me. Though I utterly hate asking for help.

Welcome to SR undertheivy.
Call the AA helpline,they will arrange for someone to meet you or go with you to your firat meeting.
In AA you will never have to do anything on your own if you dont want to.Please dont do what I did ,which is put off going over and over again,eventually I called the helpline and someone met me outside my first meeting,I have been going back ever since.

Can you describe your fear?
