no craving to drink, is that a sign?

I have been 20 days clean from booze now and for some odd reason i do not crave it.
is that a sign that i was meant to quit or that i was truly ready to quit?

I don't think that cravings or lack of them are a symbol of much really. I had less cravings in the first few months because I was so determined to quit. A few months down the line though and I was starting to forget the reasons I quit and the cravings came back. I wouldn't read too much into it on the basis that if you get a craving years down the line it doesn't mean that you are meant to drink. Well done on 20 days x

I would agree that it probably doesn't mean all that much. For me they seem to come and go. I'm approaching day 60 and yesterday I had a real craving for a cold beer after work..especially being Friday. Fortunately it passed, but my guess is that they won't ever completely disappear from my life. So it's good to have a plan in case they do happen for you.

I'd say it's certainly a good thing, though be aware that you may well think/crave about having a drink somewhere down the line. Personally when I think of having a drink I just view it like any other sort of crazy thought, I mean, we all think the maddest things sometimes (that's what minds do) and never act on them thankfully. We can't really control an initial thought or craving, but we can do something about the following thoughts or actions and not pick up a drink or let thoughts escalate.
