I kept going hot and cold all night. I'm glad there's an explanation for it now

I used to sweat a lot and then is stopped after I quit drinking. And along came the menopause - oh joy!!! Not much I can do about that though and it least it doesn't smell of vodka xx

Oh the sweats... Soaked t- shirt, the feel of the sweat droplets rolling down my face would wake me up all the time.
Blamed it on blood pressure.
Which was probably through the roof from the booze.
And that "nursing home" smell always pervaded my sleep clothes.

Plus the heart pounding out of my chest, constant trips to the bathroom, etc.

I'm starting to know what a true nights sleep feels like and it's pretty amazing.

D.D.

I used to get up about 3 or 4 covered in sweat, my hair used to drip. Shower, change pajamas and try not to vomit. The vomiting would begin about 4 am and would usually signal another sick day from work. I would lie on the couch vomiting into a bucket, sweating with chills. Took a month after quitting for sweating to stop. Had one episode of sweating a few weeks ago but had a bad cold. Never peed the bed but had explosive diarrhoea in the kitchen. Lovely.
