Me too, Liss. Day 12 here and feeling about the same. Seemed way too easy to be feeling that good for the first few days or so and I suppose it was. Dear lord the mood swings! Guess it is the brain learning how to cope without its favorite crutch but I am volatile as well. And a complete air head.

A volatile airhead...what could be better?

I don't know if this was true for others, but I found that the irritability and mood swings came on during the second week. I remember it well because I went through a few days of dropping everything, too (!!?!).

It really does get better - it's just doesn't happen as quick as we'd like sometimes! It helped me a lot to keep the stress level as low as possible for a while. Hang in there and congrats on 11 days - you're doing good!

Eleven days is really great! We do understand how hard it is to get through the mood-swings, but it will definitely get better.

Stick with it Liss

What really helped me and a lot of others was a gratitude list - reminding myself of the many many things I had to be grateful for

This too shall pass.

We never have to feel that way again.

Easy does it.

Don't know if you all saw this post/thread but it was rather comforting to me today:

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-recovery.html

I suppose I like to have a guide to my own insanity and I know nothing is "cookie-cutter" with recovery but found it somewhat comforting and useful nonetheless.

Tomorrow is Day 13---can't wait to see what wacky stuff my brain comes up with next---hoping it has nothing to do with graveyards or live chickens...
