You are bound to see some slip along the way, but don't let it become an excuse for you to slip. Ask for help, like you're doing and make yourself even more determined to stay the course. Yes you can do it without the slightest doubt, but you have to do make changes in order for it to stick.

The longer you live the more people you will know that have died. True? The longer you are sober the more people you will know that aren't or didn't make it. The best thing is take care of you so you can offer your help to someone at some point. You can do it.

Hi Bryon

look around - there's hundreds of success stories here.
Takes a commitment to making changes, but it is very very possible

good to have you here

Byron - Yes you can be done with it. I remember feeling like that, too - but I finally dug my way out (with the help of my friends here) - and you will make it. I never thought I could live without it - now I don't know how I ever made it through the day with it in my system all the time.

Congratulations on your 18 days. Keep going, Byron - you can do this!

There are going to be days where you doubt yourself (trust me, I had a huuuuge one yesterday) and there are going to be days where you are motivated and determined. The trick is to recognize the difficulties and work through them a day at a time. Dont compare your sobriety to others and be prepared to ask for help and guidance when needed. This place is great, even for just a little bit of distraction.

Good luck to you
