Finally I've been hopping around this site since late last year. It's really a great place. When I first got here I thought of the situation as me and them. These poor folks had to go to AA to stop. But I knew I could keep things under control with a little drink here and a little drink there. Finally I have to be real about it. There is no little drink for me. And I can't do this alone. Which is a real drag for me because I hate sharing my business with others. But tonight I'm going into AA and giving it a real effort. You folks on this site helped me to realize that - so hat's off. I've actually been to one meeting a few weeks ago. Just sat there and left the instant the meeting was over. Still - I didn't drink for four days after that. That was big. So anyway, this is day one for me. I don't know if I can do this - but I'll try. I've learned the first 90 days are the toughest - hey I'm just hoping not to drink tonight! |
You can do it !! I believe this is your lucky day !! All the best. Bob R |
I felt very much the same when I walked into my first NA meeting. It was me and them. I realised that we were all the same in the end. Committing to the program of NA has been the best decision I have ever made. Standard 12 step recovery sayings: It works if you work it. Keep it simple Keep coming back One day at a time Just for today Keep it simple Keep it simple Keep it simple. I wish you the best of luck in your recovery. Natom. |
