Thank you Fandy! My only venture into chicken wings was trying to recreate chinese salt n pepper chilli wings from my chinese restaurant. Terrible! I just tried to deep fry them from fresh after rolling them in chilli and salt!
I think it's double wings that my supermarket sells... Hey, I'm happy to try either, thank you. I will let you know how I get on... I have Ceaser dressing and I have a litre of hot sauce in the pantry - sweet chilli, so will give that a

No chicken wings today! My daughter called me last night to say that hubby came home from work, running a fever and coughing his head off...(he is an electrian). He is just recovering from the flu last month...so mama fandy will visit next week.
I'm hitting the groceries today too and the cleaning will keep me busy.
Those bacon muffins look dangerous!

Curious how you will like the Pomagranate juice. Everyone (including the alcoholics) uses it now since I divulged my secret.
My other secret ingredient: Chugwater Chili (google it) Ahem...I am cheating here a bit because I have known these folks since they started (my home state) and now they have a huge online business.

I am hitting a mental roadblock.
I am irritated because I have not been able to make any progress on my tiling this morning. The electrician is here, and it is not possible to work in there while he is working in there. Additionally, he asked if he could 'cut into the wall' to run some wiring. I told him not a problem, I would fix it. Well, his definition of cutting into the wall and mine are quite different. He has essentially removed an entire wall, and it will take me half a day to replace that.
Part 2: My wife asked if she could invite a friend over for dinner. We are good friends with this couple, but he is working out of town, so she would just be inviting the woman over. We normally drink when these friends are over (me drinking socially and then sneaking a few extras while they are here; and guzzling once they've left). I heard my wife call this woman and invite her over. During the conversation my wife told her we've stopped drinking as part of a new diet we are doing.
Later my wife came to me and said she was going to the market and she was going to get wine for dinner tonight. I was like, 'wtf?' why would you tell the woman we are not drinking and then go get wine? She babbled out some excuses about being a good hostess, and maybe she (my wife) would also drink to night. It's not unreasonable, but it really irritated me for some reason.
So now my AV is saying 'eff it, drink!' over and over and over.
I had 4 strips of bacon this morning, not sure why I am so grumpy.

maybe copy Weasel's bacon biscuit recipe and ask for the wife to make them as a special treat for you.
i would be grumpy too, but you have to get used to socializing when others drink. it is a small gathering, you've had a busy day and are working hard....maybe get a special dessert to look forward to? lots of chocolate? cake? ice cream?
you have almost a month of sobriety? you can do this....(personally i would slap the electrician, that would help my mood immensely) holes in the wall are their specialty...(my son in law is an electrician).
