DAY 17!!! Went to AA!!!! Those people. (And all of you on here) Make me feel so wonderful.

I literally rolled out of bed this morning. I was almost late. I didn't even brush my hair (or my teeth... ew) But I felt awesome. It was my second time there and people seemed ginuinely happy that I was back. And someone gave me the AA Book. Yay.

Just wanted to share that I made it to my meeting. woooot!

Good going! Go into those rooms and you'll find a whole new way of living without alcohol.
Keep it up!

AA will do that to you.

I went to 2 meetings yesterday. I know how you feel.

All the best.

Thanks so much for posting about your experience MelivinSober. When I read it last night I thought, "I can do this too!" whereas only a few hours prior I had been scared witless.

Gonna go tonight---thanks for the vicarious encouragement!!

You are welcome. I find sometimes that that is exactly what I need myself.

Kudos, Melvin!! It really is good stuff!! Keep going back! I started in December and go every day..

I walked in all by myself, someone in my group gave me a big book too and I took a desire chip my first night and went back the following day and 4-5 people said, great to see you Dave... I was like what the heck???

Keep going to meetings, read the history of AA and try to integrate the program into your life.. Again I'm very new to the program but its messed up my drinking and that's a good thing.. I was a big time wreck before I walked into the rooms but the more I learn from reading, meetings and fellowship there is a better way to live life!!

Really happy for you!!
