I have attempted sobriety many times but this time it feels so much different. Maybe it's because it's finally me making the decision. I read a lot on rational recovery and avrt. Today I feel on top of the world and its scaring me. I don't want to be on some sobriety high to only come crashing down. I know I'm only a week in, I don't know if I'm over thinking my happiness or I should be cautious?

Congrats on 7 days. Just go with it! Urge Surfing is a great tool when issues/feelings surface. I think it's good to be excited about a sober life. Fear of failure often drives us to relapse so at the moment I'd just go with the euphoria of being sober and then re-asses as your feelings change.

Day 7 here also. Gave it for Lent for several reasons. Good job and keep up the good work!
